Jackie led the coordination and strategic implementation between the merchandising and creative teams to fine-tune the product assortment, determine overall seasonal themes and strategy and ensure a compelling catalog presentation for multiple titles for the world's third largest retailer and leading home improvement multi-channel marketer. Titles included Home Depot Direct, Paces Trading Company and 10 Crescent Lane.


We helped to determine the product mix for the Nautilus/Bowflex consumer catalogs and web sites; sourced non-Nautilus branded health & fitness products and paginated this first consumer catalog launched January 2004. Subsequent work includes sourcing additional products, pagination and profitability analysis.


Launched the Sundance Spas/Jacuzzi Brands – Living The Spa Life Catalog and Web Site – responsible for developing Jacuzzi branded product assortment and sourcing third-party patio décor products for a proof-of-concept catalog launched Spring 2005.


The Sharper Image
LiveScience, Imaginova, Orion

As General Merchandise Manager for The Sharper Image Catalog & Stores, Jackie was responsible for leading the team of Buyers and Assistants. Primary focus was on the development of proprietary products and new sources. Jackie was also responsible for inventory management, strategic planning, product selection, vendor negotiation and profitability on sales of $100+ million. She increased annual vendor advertising dollars by $1 million and overall gross profit margin by 3%. Jackie approved all copy, photography, layout and design and produced a monthly informational video on new product training for store personnel. She joined the firm originally as founding merchant and Senior Electronics Buyer responsible for $34 million in sales.

 


LiveScience.com, a division of Imaginova, Inc. and sister company to Orion Telescopes & Binoculars. Creative Merchandising Solutions was responsible for category and assortment development for the LiveScience.com web site. Tasks included sourcing over 100 new and innovative products catering to the interests of this highly compelling web site. Categories included Science Kits; Wind & Weather; Robotics & Toys; Nature and Geography.


Improvements Catalog

Creative Merchandising Solutions working in conjunction with Black Dot's Creative agency, helped the team at Improvements Catalog - a division of HSN to re-merchandise and re-paginate the book to achieve a lower density without sacrificing sales. The successful effort provided a significant lift on response rates and a new, lighter/better readable look for the catalog.


Jacqueline is a graduate of the Executive Training Program - Harvard Cooperative Society (The Coop) in Cambridge, MA. The Coop, founded in 1882 is one of America's largest college bookstores and serves Harvard and MIT students, faculty and the general public with branches throughout Cambridge and Boston. As Assistant Buyer, Jackie was Responsible for the highly promotional advertising program of TV, radio and print media for New England's largest music outlet.



Sid Savage opened his first used car business in 1946. For he and his fellow dealers in the industry, Sid soon created his first catalog of supplies for Auto Dealerships and has been able to deliver for over 3 decades, great selection, high product quality, guaranteed low pricing, superb customer service, 24/7 ordering, and on-time delivery. Creative Merchandising Solutions has helped to lower prices even further by identifying both domestic and foreign manufacturing sources for the client's best selling items resulting in higher gross profit margins and lower cost of goods.

 


Skyvision, Field Trips

Jacqueline was responsible for developing and implementing the merchandising strategies for Field Trips - a soft adventure/travel product catalog and web site and a division of Skyvision, Inc. She negotiated with over 300 vendors and provided the client with training in inventory forecasting and provided ROI/square inch analysis.

 


Creative Merchandising Solutions served as the Merchandising arm for PowerHouse Catalog, a division of Alliant Energy Research, Inc. We sourced new product and helped reposition this catalog of energy efficient/alternative and household products.

Creative Merchandising Solutions was responsible for merchandising, trade show representation, creative review, product training and sales/profitability analysis for the catalog and web sites. Product specialty included health and fitness items, apparel, personal care and home care products.


Creative Merchandising Solutions helped The Franklin Mint spin off a new home décor catalog - Finishing Touches. We helped to determined the merchandise mix by repositioning exclusive Franklin Mint collectibles as works of art for the home; provided competitive analysis, trade show representation and sourced third party product.


Prior to establishing Creative Merchandising Solutions, Jacqueline Daigle served as the Product Marketing Manager of this award winning business to business catalog. She was responsible for developing proprietary products and managing the consumer telephony product line. Strategic alliances were formed with Regional Bell Operating Companies - US West, Ameritech-Michigan Bell, Bell South and Pacific Bell.

Creative Merchandising Solutions provided ALDA with a custom survey research report on their customer profile. In addition, we sourced and negotiated the gift assortment for the Fall 2002 Giftables Catalog shared by 120 member specialty retail stores nation-wide.


Prior to establishing Creative Merchandising Solutions Jackie was responsible for the development, merchandising, launch and promotion of "Innovators", a high-tech toy department within the $210 million Electronics division at Macy's. Because of its high level of success, this department was expanded to all Macy's stores nation-wide.
